Early Visions Mentor Application

Early Visions is a mentorship and arts program held in partnership between The Fralin Museum of Art and the Boys and Girls Club of Central Virginia. Each UVA student mentor and their club member get together once a week to explore a diverse selection of artworks, experiment with a variety of artmaking activities, and engage in topics that connect to their experiences.

The program runs for ten weeks and is held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4:00-5:30 PM. Each week, we welcome three different clubs from the Boys and Girls Club of Central Virginia– Albemarle Campus, Cherry Avenue, and Southwood. The upcoming session will start February 6th and run through April 25th with the exception of UVA Spring Recess (March 2nd-10th) and the local public schools' Spring Break (April 1st–5th).

Mentors will be matched with a Boys and Girls Club member and are expected to attend every week. A mandatory orientation will be held of January 28th.

Follow the link in the submission confirmation to sign up for your interview time if you are a new applicant.

Please reach out to museumoutreach@virginia.edu if you have any questions about the program or application.
